BWSI Fall Program for 10th/11th Girls

See below for a recent release from our friends at M.I.T. These are great, well-run programs that are offered. We’ve had several students benefit from them.

We are excited to announce the BWSI Fall Program (virtual) for 10th and 11th Grade female students starting in October. The program is completely free, all students need are laptops and wifi to be a part of the program. If a student does not have a laptop they can reach out to us for a loaner so make sure that doesn’t stop anyone from signing up. While all BWSI programs are open to eligible students of any gender identity, this fall program is designed to encourage and support female students in STEM.

We are offering the following programs: Girls Who Program Autonomous Cars! Girls Who Design, Build and Fly Model Aircraft! Girls Who Want to Learn Many Interesting Things (MIT)! Girls Who Program Cognitive Assistants! Girls Who Want to Learn Back to bASICs! Girls Who Program Racing Drones!

  • WHO: High School 10th and 11th Grade Female Students (9th grade students can apply as well, but first spots will be given to those in 10/11th grade)
  • WHEN: Saturdays 11am-2pm (EST): October 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18, December 2, 9, 2023
  • WHERE: Virtually, through Zoom!

The attached brochure has more information on what each course will be offering. We would love it if you could share with your students. The first page has all the information and can be posted around your school or emailed to your students!

Must fill out application link to be considered, the application is very quick. Students must sign up by September 18, 2023.
