On August 20th, the incoming freshman class of 2029 kicked off the 2025-26 school year with the annual Magnet orientation. Students took part in a variety of team building activities such as three-legged team races and balloon popping relays in the Magnet Olympics before taking a tour of their classes and meeting their teachers. We officially welcome them into our ranks. Let’s go!

- The Yellow Team won the MST Magnet Olympics this year. Their names will be engraved on the trophy to celebrate and codify their success!

- Here are some of the incoming freshman’s thoughts on being in Magnet: Zixuan is excited to challenge herself in the program, and both she and Esha are eager to learn more about their classmates. Soyun is looking forward to building new skills through the program’s advanced coursework.

- Daniel is enthusiastic about the academic opportunities that magnet offers, and learning from all the supportive staff, and Camden and Davaul are especially excited about doing the yearlong research project offered in the program.
