Some colleges and universities invite students to their campuses for a face to face interview. This meeting typically is for scholarship or admission purposes and need not be an anxiety provoking process. Finally, most colleges and universities require students to submit letters of recommendations from teachers and their School Counselor. Keep in mind you are not the only one asking staff for a letter, so give the adult at least two-three weeks’ notice because writing a high quality and personalized letter requires quite a bit of time, and most often, it is written during their family or personal time.
